Have you taken the time to slow down and think about how you could make your clients’ Christmases even better with a small token of gratitude for them giving you their business? Do not worry about being stumped on what to get them, we have the perfect idea! Everyone, especially this time of year, appreciates and actually uses a good mug. So why not get a mug for each of your clients?!

A mug is great for two reasons. The first is that a mug is an actual, practical gift that a person will hopefully use every day. No one appreciates those weird socks or paper holders that most businesses send their clients. But people appreciate something that will warm them up, and most importantly, give them their fuel to get through the day. The second reason is that usually mugs are decorated in some type of way, and this is a perfect opportunity for you to improve your relational equity with the client and add your company’s logo or name to the mug. Now every time they reach for that mug for a delicious sip of coffee, they will think of you! What better marketing could you ask for.

Mugs make great gifts as well because they are easy to order, and easy to package and ship out from anywhere. After you have selected the type of mug you want to order, and what you want to be displayed on the mug, get that shipment headed your way. Most companies will have the mugs to you in about 2-3 days. While the mugs are out for delivery, go to your local office supply shop and pick up some sturdy, cardboard boxes and packaging peanuts. You want the box to be a small size, but also sturdy enough that nothing will happen to the mug while it is enroute to the client. If you want to go an additional step, you can order tin mugs which will not shatter in the mail!

Once you have collected all of the supplies, get back to the office and wait for the mugs to order. When they arrive, put everything together and make sure you have the updated mailing address for each of your clients. If you have not connected with a client in a while, this can be a great way to engage with them before the holidays. From there, make sure each of the cardboard boxes has your logo and your address on it, so the client knows it’s from you and they do not throw it away before opening it! This will be their favorite Christmas gift ever and hopefully you should see your relationships with these clients get even better!
